Young Tourist Guides of Madrid

The Association of Young Tourist Guides of Madrid is made up of professionals in the tourism sector who share a common interest in promoting the tourism resources available in the Community of Madrid.
We are based in Alcalá de Henares because we understand that it is a key destination in the Community of Madrid with endless possibilities to discover and develop tourism.

We offer guided tours in the city of Alcalá by our partner guides, whose schedules are updated monthly and can be consulted in our monthly calendar. Currently, you can enjoy these tours with an average duration of 2 hours and discover the city of Alcala de Henares full of nuances that surely do not yet know.

Alcalá Esencial (Essential Alcalá): Alcalá is a World Heritage Site for many and varied reasons, and through this tour of its most unique places we want to give value and knowledge to those reasons that relate not only to its history, but also to the stories, legends and people that have inhabited the streets of Alcalá throughout the centuries.

Bocados del Siglo de Oro (Bites of the Golden Age): It is well known that Alcalá is a World Heritage Site, but among its many achievements, one stands out, and that is that few cities in the world can boast of having been crossed by so many illustrious literary figures, names of the stature of Lope, Quevedo or Cervantes? Names that gave us the Golden Age of Spanish Literature, and if there is one thing that such great men have in common, it’s a passion not only for writing, but also for good food. Bits of the Golden Age is a pleasant journey through the city of Alcalá de Henares, where tradition, literature and the table find a point of union in their proper measure.

Alcalá, dulces y sabores de convento (Alcalá, sweets and flavors of convent): The current gastronomic tradition drinks from ancient sources, one of the places where this gastronomic tradition has remained safe from influences has been inside monasteries and convents…
A journey through the least known Alcalá, from convent to convent, from legend to legend, from tradition to tradition, with the backdrop of the most secular gastronomy.

Alcalá de fábula (Fable Alcalá – ideal for families and children): This tour of Alcalá de Henares mixes fables, stories, games and legends with the monuments and resources to be visited.
It is an outdoor visit for both organized school groups and family groups. It is designed for children from 4 years old.

Alcalá de Cine (Film worthy Alcalá):

Throughout the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, Alcalá has become a great set, the scene of hundreds of national and international film productions. This route will allow you to discover the secrets of all those corners that have made Alcalá a film set for so long!

Last but not least, we have a dossier for schools and AMPAS (Association of parents) which proposes cultural and leisure activities inside and out of the school. You can download it from our website.

But in addition to all these routes and ideas, our goal is to work cooperatively to offer dynamic and creative solutions tailored to the needs of any institution or company that wants to develop tourism and cultural activities both in the real and virtual and technological framework for its visitors, customers, employees or students.
