Ibero-American Art Museum of the UAH

The museum occupies an area of more than 1,300 square meters, divided into two halls: the oldest collection is made up of the pieces of the Luis González Robles Museum, which have been exhibited in different places of the UAH on different occasions and which will now be permanently housed in this space. Luis González Robles (Seville, 1916 – Madrid, 2003) traveled around the world to select avant-garde artists, and his collection brings together works from the most important Spanish-American schools from the 1950s to the end of the 20th century, to which have been added pieces from the 21st century, thanks to donations from artists and the management of the Friends of the González Robles Museum. There is representation of movements and artists such as Dau al Set, El Paso, Tápies, Guinovart, Tharrats, Canogar, Feito, Muñoz, Velan, Vento, Cuixart, Capuleto, Zóble, Delgado, Clavé, Rivera, Sáez, Soria, Villalba, Francés, Guayasamín, Manrique, Soria, Orcajo, Celis, Morales, Verdes and of Spanish, Venezuelan and Nicaraguan masters among others, organized by theme and technique. In addition to the paintings, there is also a small exhibition of sculptures by outstanding artists such as Venancio Blanco, Miranda D’Amico, Felguérez, Feliciano Hernández, Antonio Prats, Pablo Serrano, Subirá, and others.
