Dining in Alcalá de Henares means experiencing a unique gastronomic journey in an exceptional setting, duly recognized by UNESCO when it declared the city a World Heritage Site in 1998. Therefore, at Alcalá Gastronómica – Fomentur, we accept the responsibility of leaving a lasting impression on those who choose us as their tourist destination.
We are an association of hospitality professionals who have been promoting tourism through gastronomy since 1986. With around twenty restaurants currently belonging to our association, we remain steadfast in our commitment to quality, respecting the traditional cuisine that underpins our heritage, while also embracing the innovation and avant-garde that contemporary tastes demand.

It enriches its activities with historical dishes such as those prepared for the Semana Gastronómica Cervantina (Cervantine Gastronomic Week) in October; cinematic delights prepared for the arrival of the fascinating Alcalá de Henares Film Festival – Alcine; creative recipes that showcase the mastery of our chefs in the kitchen during the well-established Jornadas Gastronómicas (Gastronomic Days) in February; and literary creations that pay homage to the current Cervantes Prize winner every April.
