Cervantes’ connection with Alcalá goes beyond his birth here. There are many ties between Cervantes, his family, and this town. This Cervantes Route will help to showcase these connections.
There are numerous locations in Alcalá that have a strong connection to Cervantes and are visited on this route. These include the Capilla del Oidor (Oidor’s Chapel), where he was baptized on October 9, 1547, the La Galatea Printing House, where his first novel was printed, and the Museo Casa natal de Cervantes (Cervantes’ Birthplace Museum), among others.
